I'm with you--I definitely like some and dislike others. One thing I like is to do words that aren't super cheesy. Family, Smile, etc :) BUT one thing I do like is using numbers...thoughts? I bought this cool "4" at a shop in the city a few months back and I'm diggin' it.
I think that word art can get a bit tacky. That said, I don't think that this is tacky at all!! I think that it would be perfect in any room of the house! I LOVE it :-)

I am with you about words as art...I go back and forth. This one stands out because it's unique...not what you typically see!

i have a love / hate relationship also :)
but i LOVE using monograms and letters...i.e. using a B for baker or something.
