via IKEA
How do I love thee: let me count the ways.
Glass front cabinets.
Farm house sink.
Open shelving.
Beautiful flooring.
The ladder...
The fact that this kitchen requires the use of a ladder---fine by me!
Here's what I would like to know...will Wichita ever get an Ikea? OK scratch that... let's get real, will Kansas City ever get an Ikea? Also on my list of "please bring to Wichita:"
Home Goods
Anthropologie
Somewhat unrelated but we need nonetheless:
TRADER JOE'S!
Ann Taylor Loft
DSW
Wichita readers, what else do you wish we had "round these parts?"
Readers from elsewhere, what are you favorite go-to stores?
Please weigh in, and
Happy Thursday!

Ooh I love this kitchen too! remember when we were talking about painting the shelves of cabinets a rich navy blue so you could see it through the glass front cabinets? ah my dream kitchen!
and I suppose it would be nice if Wichita had an Urban Outfitters...
You guys need an IKEA! We just got one in Tampa and the kitchens are my favorite part...so much inspiration! Man, by the looks of your list, you guys need a lot! At least, you can shop online at the places you don't have!
I wish Charleston had an Anthropologie, Trader Joes, and a West Elm! You would think we would have at least one of these fabulous stores by now!
P.S. Love that Ikea kitchen!
Would you believe Manhattan doesn't have a TARGET!?! The only ones are all the way up in the Bronx and all the way out in Brooklyn. Gadzooks.
As for Ikea, does anyone else have the experience that even though it is soooper cute, anything from there falls apart within 2 years? And since this is furniture we are talking about, shouldn't it last a little longer?? Mary, can you do a post about furniture quality v. price?
I'm only saying this because I'm hungry and haven't had lunch yet but I would LOVE to get TCBY back to Wichita!!! Do we have a Pottery Barn? I think that would be nice to have. Great post and I love the kitchen too!
I can't get over the new Ikea kitchens either. They're so amazing. You poor thing, no Ikea, Anthro or Trader Joe's? I don't know what I'd do! I guess pay us a visit, we've got all of the above. :)
I have been seeing all these IKEA commercials and getting plain frustrated. I miss it dearly....as well as Anthro and Home Goods. Seriously, I am forced to buy home decor at Wal-Mart these days. Sigh...
Bridgey, you're right I need to do a cost/ quality post! Lovely idea. Thank you. keep an eye out!
cute post. know what it makes me think of? the scene in 500 days of summer where they're playing "house" in ikea. ALSO i heard about two kids practicing for interviews in an ikea. what?! hilarious! creative!
now...we don't have trader joes in dallas either...OR in the ENTIRE state of texas---what's that about!?
