About

a tiny little history of my life:

Room Polisher circa 1990:
Any time I wasn't scouring Highlights Magazine for Kids looking for my newest crafting adventure,
I was squirreling through the trash looking for more scraps to make new baubles with.
...To the point that mom had to sneak the trash out
(This is what she tells me)

Lover of little play houses and little curtains for said houses.
Polly Pocket, doll house, wooden play house at my friend's house, the fort next door... you name it, I played in them like they were my own little castle.

Room Polisher circa 2000:
Deep in my teenage years, I discovered TLC's Trading Spaces show while babysitting one summer. (The kids were sleeping, I promise!) So I started fantasizing about redoing rooms, wondering if they really did all that work in 24 hours, and thinking about how glamorous it would be to be just like those designers.

Fast Forward to College

Room Polisher circa...a few years ago:
Degree in anthropology

followed by

stint as a  medical-software tester

followed by

encouragement from Lovely Parents saying, why not follow your dreams? We're pretty sure that's not software testing. Come back to KS and pursue decorating.

So I did. And I'm happy, I feel blessed, and that's my story in a nutshell.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog, Room Polish. I hope you come back often!

I'd love to hear from you if you have any decorating questions, need some help with a room redo, or would like help with an e-decorating board.
